Born in rural Georgia, and the granddaughter of farmers, Cynthia grew up with small-town values and learned to help her neighbors. She worked hard to pay her way through school, earning a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and later a graduate degree in statistics before moving to Charlotte, where she built a 25-year career strengthening accountability for businesses. Cynthia has a blend of rural and urban values that will represent ALL the people of District 9 without promoting divisive politics!

The Right Priorities for the 9th District:
- Rebuild our economy and bring jobs back to our region by increasing wages and supporting local small businesses.
- Reduce health care costs by lowering prescription drugs prices and protecting coverage for those with pre-existing conditions, including coronavirus.
- Slow the spread of COVID-19 by increasing testing capacity and strengthening contact tracing efforts.
- Strengthen our public education system and expand opportunities for students by providing educators with the resources they need to ensure academic success.
